League of Women Voters of the Space Coast Public Event:

The Intersection between Policing and the Community

 

What do you think the role of police should be in your community? On Thursday, September 14th, 2023, The League of Women Voters of the Space Coast (LWVSC), a non-partisan organization, will host an important discussion on “The Intersection Between Policing and the Community” at The Iron Oak Post, 2023 Melbourne Ct, Melbourne, FL from 5:30 p.m.- 8 p.m.   Find out how the police and the community can work together for a better and safer community. 

 

The LWVSC welcomes the following speakers: Kathy Hamilton-Brown from the Cocoa Police Community Relations Advisory Board,  Yvonne Minus LWVSC League member and Melbourne City Council member serving on the Police Community Relations Council, and the Deputy Chief of Melbourne Police Department.

 

This event is free and open to the public.  Enjoy friendly conversation, refreshments, and a cash bar.  Register

Summary

 

Free public event to learn about the relationship between policing and the community will be held at the Iron Oak Post on Thursday, September 14th from 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m. The evening  includes refreshments and a discussion with a panel of speakers, including a representative from the Cocoa Police Community Relations Advisory Board, a Melbourne City Council member, and a Deputy Chief from Melbourne Police Department.
